World We Imagine Part 1

    My whole life I was always taught that empathy is the greatest gift and simplest act of kindness in making the world a better place. Empathy, to me, is one's capability to perceive and share the feelings, emotions, and experiences of others. In other words, it's a person's ability and willingness to put themselves in the perspective of another, understand the situation, and find compassion for the experiences. It's not as simple as feeling sorry for another, it entails a deeper emotional bond and appreciation for the other's encounters and tied emotions to the situation.      Now how does this connect to making the world a better place? I believe empathy is the key to making the world a better place through its active action in making a positive impact. Empathy is an inherent trait that one may choose to employ or not. Random Post 2: CorePower Yoga

      For my random post, I wanted to write about one of my favorite hobbies and forms of working out. Every day, I attend a CorePower Yoga class at the USC Village location. I wake up to my alarm set for 7:45, get dressed, and grab my yoga mat and towel to leave my apartment, and walk over to the village. The morning streets of Figueroa are always quiet and I put on my headphones to get in the zone for my workout. Although the class is at 8:30, I prefer getting there at least 15 minutes early to put my mat in my favorite spot (next to the instructor) and the lay down before the crowd comes in. Despite the early hour, each CorePower class is often filled to the max and I have to book my classes weeks in advance.      What is CorePower? CorePower Yoga is a yoga studio chain that offers a variety of yoga-based workout classes, including vinyasa and yoga sculpt.
